Trained as a professional actor at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, Alan Turton spent 10 years in Repertory Theatre and Television.
From 1988 until 1998 he was one of the Staff Announcers at Central Television, the UK’s largest seven day a week terrestrial commercial channel.
During the last ten years Alan has made numerous video programmes (as Presenter, Voice Artist, Writer and Director – though not all roles on all projects!) One of his major clients is aero engine manufacturer, Rolls-Royce, with whom he has had an association as a programme-maker and communications consultant for many years.
Companies such as SIG – the hi-tech Packaging Company have used Alan as a Presenter for their exhibitions in the UK and the United States.
He is well known on the UK Radio Station Voice circuit and there are few stations in the UK for whom he has not voiced commercials.
More recently, multi-media, CD Rom, web page voice overs and telephony work has been keeping him busy.  In his fully equipped studio, Alan is able to edit, assign as wav, aiff, pcm (or virtually any other format one could mention) and burn to CD, Minidisc, DAT or, for the really traditional, cassette tape!  The studio is fully ISDN capable, with full bandwidth stereo.
